Chief Executive Officer / President
David T. Querio's career spans more than 35 years in the maintenance of transport category aircraft and management of MRO facilities and airlines. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services as President in August 2016, Dave held the positions of General Manager, New Mexico operations for AerSale, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer of Silver Airways; and President & CEO of Ascent Aviation Services. Additionally, Mr. Querio has held the position of Vice President of Operations at Evergreen Air Center; Vice President & General Manager of AMS GYR facility; and Vice President, Technical Services at multiple regional airlines.
Dave is an airframe and power plant licensed technician.
Chief Operating Officer / VP of Operations
Tim McGuire’s career spans more than 30 years in the maintenance of commercial and corporate aircraft. Tim has spent most of his career in management within MRO facilities. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services in February of 2019, Tim held the positions of Director of Business Development with Ally Aerospace Services, General Manager/Accountable Manager of Bombardier Aerospace Corporate Aircraft, and Director of Operations/Accountable Manager of Bombardier Aerospace Commercial Aircraft. During his years with Ascent, he has held positions as Training Manager, Director of Quality, and Director of Quality Assurance, Training, & Continuous Improvement. Tim started his aviation career in the United States Air Force where he served proudly for seven years.
Tim is an airframe and powerplant licensed technician.
Chief Commercial Officer
Scott Butler is an aviation professional with more than 15 years in the Aerospace industry. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services as CCO, Scott was the Director of Sales for Zodiac Aerospace. Throughout his broad tenure, Scott has held leadership positions in Program Management, Engineering & Operations Management at TE Connectivity and Rockwell Collins. Scott holds a degree in Aviation Human Factors and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Scott is a licensed Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot.
Chief Financial Officer
Neil Holstad brings more than 39 years of executive-level financial and operational management to the Company. Neil joins Ascent with valuable corporate finance experience having served as CFO in several Arizona-based companies including Torrent Resources in Phoenix, AZ, and prior to that CFO for Simpleview, Mister Car Wash, and Global Solar Energy in Tucson, AZ. Neil is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Master of Accounting and a B.S. Business Administration..
Director of Maintenance, Roswell, NM
Bret Reed brings more than 37 years of aviation experience in multiple roles during his career. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services in 2019 he served as Senior Manager of Maintenance at Silver Airways, Manager of Maintenance Control and Planning at Jet suite and Jet suite X, Line maintenance supervisor for Horizon Airlines for 18 years and was a Flight Test manager for the Boeing Company on the 787-8 freighter and the P8 Poseidon program.
Bret is an airframe and powerplant licensed technician.
Director of Maintenance, Marana, AZ
Michael Osburn brings more than 15 years of aviation experience including all phases of aircraft maintenance from heavy checks to line maintenance for both passenger and cargo aircraft. Michael’s over 35 years of management experience spans multiple industries which broadens his view and provides additional benefits to the Ascent Aviation Services organization.
Michael is an airframe licensed technician.
Director of Maintenance, Tucson, AZ
Neil Stevens brings more than 30 years aviation experience including all phases of aircraft maintenance from heavy checks to line maintenance for both passenger and cargo aircraft. Prior to commercial aviation, Neil served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief on KC-135 & E-3B AWACS. Neil’s career started when he was 18 years old and has taken him around the world and his love for aircraft hasn’t changed.
Neil is an Airframe & Powerplant certificated mechanic.
Director of Quality
Tim’s career in aircraft maintenance and management spans more than 25 years focusing on all aspects of Commercial and Corporate aircraft. He has been with Ascent Aviation Services since 2019 and prior to accepting his current role as Director of Quality he held positions including Training Manager and Process Improvement Manager. Tim is a native Arizonan and Gulf War Veteran. He is a proven leader driven to ensure the highest quality for both the industry and our customers.

Director of Planning
Stephen Oddie brings more than 24 years of aviation experience to his role as Director of Planning. He began his aviation career in the British Royal Air Force and then transitioned to commercial aviation as a mechanic working at MROs in the US. In his current role at Ascent Aviation Services Stephen is responsible for all aspects of the planning department.
Sr. Director of Contracts
Deanna Hackney began her aviation career more than 25 years ago in 1994 with Evergreen Maintenance Center, Inc. She advanced her aviation experience by working in multiple departments including Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and Project Management before moving into her current role as Sr. Director of Contracts. Her dedication continued through the years of Marana Aerospace Solutions, and the 2018 merger with Ascent Aviation Services.
Director of Information Technology
Sue Acuna is an information technology and accounting professional with more than 20 years of management experience across a range of industries including manufacturing, aviation and banking. Sue specializes in ERP system implementation, business process analysis and application support and deployment. Prior to working for Ascent, she worked for Texas Instruments for over 15 years in various roles including Business System Analyst, Business Application Manager, SAP Implementation Associate and Accounting Services Manager.
Director of Materials & Purchasing
Laura directs the Ascent Aviation Services Materials and Purchasing group supporting the daily operational needs and driving continued efficiencies between the supply chain, operations, and quality. She brings more than 17 years of combined Supply Chain Procurement, Sales, and Program Management experience in the airline and aviation maintenance-related industries. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services, Laura held management positions with aerospace companies such as International Aero Interiors, Inc., VT Volant (ST Aerospace), Zodiac Aerospace (Safran), and most recently ITS.
Head of Human Resources
Kyle is responsible for management in all aspects of the Human Resources (HR) operations at all locations. His experience includes over 25 years in Human Resources, and he comes to us with aerospace experience having worked for both Bombardier Aerospace and AAR Corporation (AAR Airlift Group). Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. Kyle is an HR professional with certifications from the Society of Human Resources Management as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
