David T. Querio

President
David T. Querio career spans more than 35 years in the maintenance of transport category aircraft and management of MRO facilities and airlines. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services as President in August 2016, Dave held the positions of General Manager, New Mexico operations for AerSale, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer of Silver Airways; and President & CEO of Ascent Aviation Services. Additionally, Mr. Querio has held the position of Vice President of Operations at Evergreen Air Center; Vice President & General Manager of AMS GYR facility; and Vice President, Technical Services at multiple regional airlines.


Dave is an airframe and power plant licensed technician.

Randy Buol

Vice President of Operations
Randy Buol is responsible for operations at Ascent Aviation Services. His early love of aviation took him through a successful eight year tour in the US Air Force, after which he transitioned into the commercial aviation sector. His career of 40 plus years has taken him to many locations and has included leadership roles with both airlines and MROs. Throughout his career he has both performed and managed line and heavy maintenance operations. Randy joined Ascent Aviation Services from Melbourne, Florida where he was performing interior reconfigurations; maintenance bridging packages and aircraft exports for international airlines.


Randy is an airframe and power plant licensed technician.

Barton R. Budman

Chief Financial Officer
Bart Budman brings more than 32 years of executive level accounting/financial and operational management to the Company. Prior to joining the Company, Bart served as the Chief Financial Officer for Commercial Jet, a provider of MRO services located in Miami, FL. Before this, Bart was VP Finance/Division Controller for AAR Corp; Chief Financial & Operating Officer for a world-renowned mega-yacht manufacturing, repair and refit company, Broward Yacht & Marine. Prior to his private industry experience, Bart held a Partner position at a regional accounting and consulting firm, where he practiced in all areas of public accounting including tax, accounting and auditing, operational business consulting, mergers and acquisitions and litigation support, initial public offerings, SEC compliance, and financial and tax transactional due diligence serving public and privately held clients. He holds dual degrees in accounting and finance as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.

Scott Butler

Chief Commercial Officer
Scott Butler is an aviation professional with more than 10 years in the Aerospace industry. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services as CCO, Scott was the Director of Sales for Zodiac Aerospace. Throughout his broad tenure, Scott has held leadership positions in Program Management, Engineering & Operations Management at TE Connectivity and Rockwell Collins. Scott holds a degree in Aviation Human Factors and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Scott is a licensed Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot.

Kisha McCabe

Director of Human Resources
Kisha McCabe joined the Ascent Aviation Services team in 2019 as Director of Human Resources and brings with her more than 25 years’ experience in her field. She moved to Tucson in 2006 and has held Human Resources positions in Tucson and Marana ever since, including 4 years in the aviation/aerospace industry with Sargent Aerospace & Defense. Kisha holds a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology from the Ohio State University, and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Todd Perkins

Director of Maintenance—Tucson
Todd Perkins joined Ascent Aviation Services as the Director of Maintenance bringing over 30 years of extensive experience in all operations areas. Todd’s experience covers a broad range of business and includes line maintenance, airframe overhaul, aircraft engines, components, interiors, and back shops working with airlines, MRO’s and FBO’s.


Todd is an airframe and powerplant licensed technician and holds an FCC license.

Ken Parent

Director, Flightline Maintenance & Aircraft Reclamations
Ken Parent brings more than 20 years’ aviation experience including all phases of aircraft maintenance from heavy checks to flightline for both passenger and cargo carriers on scheduled, charter and Ad Hoc services. Prior to aviation Ken served in the United States Army during Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a Loader and Gunner aboard an M1 Abrams Tank. Ken’s career has taken him across the world many times over, but the Sonoran Desert of Southern Arizona is where he calls home.


Ken is an airframe and power plant licensed technician.

Deanna Hackney

Sr. Director of Contracts
Deanna Hackney began her aviation career more than 25 years ago in 1994 with Evergreen Maintenance Center, Inc. She advanced her aviation experience by working in multiple departments including Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and Project Management before moving into her current role as Sr. Director of Contracts. Her dedication continued through the years of Marana Aerospace Solutions, and the 2018 merger with Ascent Aviation Services.

Sue Acuna

Director of Information Technology
Sue Acuna is an information technology and accounting professional with more than 20 years of management experience across a range of industries including manufacturing, aviation, banking and the medical field. Sue specializes in ERP system implementation, business process analysis and application support and deployment. Prior to working for Ascent, she worked for Texas Instruments for over 15 years in various roles including Business System Analyst, Business Application Manager, SAP Implementation Associate and Accounting Services Manager.

Teresa Thompson

Director of Planning and Production Control
Teresa Thompson serves as Director of Planning and Production Control. In this role, Teresa is responsible for resource allocation, critical path development and accountability of check flow. Ms. Thompson brings over 20 years of planning and production control experience to the team. Prior to joining Ascent Aviation Services, Ms. Thompson served in numerous managerial roles of increasing responsibility within the MRO space in the Tucson area.
